Welcome!
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." Gandhi Two changes I wish to see in the world are improved teaching and learning in formal education settings and increased understanding of and opportunities for leadership in education. I work toward those changes through teaching and administration roles in the Graduate School of Education where I am an associate professor and program director of the Master of Arts in Education, Doctorate in Education, and Administrative Licensure. In addition to my experience in graduate education, I have extensive professional experience in K-12 curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development and program and personnel supervision at district and state levels. My public school experience includes teaching first through fifth-year secondary Spanish; team and demonstration teaching in elementary grades; inservice training in writing process and assessment, Elements of Instruction, literature and second-language methods. The foci of my educational consulting include curriculum development and program evaluation. My research interests are leadership and leadership development for teachers and students; teachers’ voices and experience through narrative; curriculum development; and personal and institutional change.
